I never drove a Tesla
Though others have adored it
For the very simple reason that
I never could afford it
And so I make my way
From San Jose to San Jacinto
In something more affordable
My old but trust Pinto.
Now Elon and his companies
Are driving Leftists crazy
Although from where I’m sitting
His halo’s a bit hazy
His modus operandi
Is strictly unconventional
His business models tend to be
A wee bit…existenstensional
I marvel at the money
Into businesses he’s funneling
In fields as unrelatable
As blasting off and tunneling
And now with major Liberals
He’s strictly on the outs
Because of fortunes that he flaunts
And protocols he flouts
I welcome his endeavors
But before I start the toasting
I have to be a skeptic
Cause the proof is in the posting
It’s been my inclination
To be credulous and trusting
But knights in shining armor
Seem to have a way of rusting
I like to see conservatives
As happy as can be
But so much more can happen
So… I think I’ll wait and see
