Leading in the causes
Of my personal disasters
Is trying to write poetry
While I watch The Masters
I rather like a challenge
And it’s really quite exciting
But my left hand doesn’t know
What my right hand is writing
Maybe you’re a genius
Or maybe you’re a dunce
But there aren’t many people
Who can do two things at once
I think about the Democrats
While working on my stroke
They want to claim the middle ground
But can’t give up the Woke
They want to tax the billionaires
Right to their final penny
Then say that they prefer a world
Where there aren’t any
They say that Trump cares only
For the rising price of stocks
Then call it his disaster
When the Dow is on the rocks
A sign of certain wisdom
The philosopher once said
Is working out the synergy
Of two things in your head
For those who fully understand
That’s how the game is played
Like making use of tariffs
To bring about free trade
Like making clear to China
Not to bite the hand that feeds you
And following the evidence
No matter where it leads you
Did I write a poem just then?
Well, I think I must’a
Now, if you’ll excuse me
I’ll just head back to Augusta
