Tinder Bumble and Rumble

Did you ever know a couple

Who, when they were first dating

Had such passionate attraction

It was almost aggravating

Their searing symbiosis

Was so palpably intense

That the prospects for success

As well as failure were immense

Think of Liz and Richard

Their courtship was a blur, man

Just like Ernest Borgnine

And the lovely Ethel Merman

For when you soar toward heaven

On a hypersonic thrust

Just a small anomaly

Can scatter you to dust

Some may say they saw it coming

And are not surprised a bit

Others speculate about

Just how the fuse was lit

Is what we’ve all been seeing

A textbook case of pride

Or has the willing media

Been taken for a ride

Whatever is the outcome

Don’t say you ain’t been warned

Fiction has no fury

Like a genius who’s been scorned

There’s gonna be a rumble

There isn’t any doubt of it

So my advice to everyone–

For goodness sake, stay out of it

Commission a poem from Joe

Tell him the story. He'll find the verse in it.
