Mostly Peaceful

I’m sure you’ve caught on to the trend

And one that’s going global

Anything is justified

If your cause is noble

A spirit that’s as old as man

And all of mankind’s movements

One that’s shaped the modern world

And brought us some improvements

But what has lasted just as long

And gives debate its fizz–

Who gets to designate just what

A noble movement is

And so we’ve made up systems

(In history, a rareness)

Designed to make decisions

With justice and with fairness

If laws are seen as wicked

As press reports reveal them

We’ve only got two options

Enforce them or repeal them

We can’t just overlook them

Or look the other way

That, my friends is anarchy

And deadly to fair play

Chop down all of England’s trees

A saintly man once said

And build yourself a coffin

For justice will be dead

So make your case for amnesty

Make your case for walls

Another faction rises

Another faction falls

But don’t throw bricks at passing cars

Or burn the city flat

I think we can agree

There’s no nobility in that
