Socialism’s advocates
Think everyone should share
It’s all for one and one for all
Like Monsieur Dumas, pere

Capital is moribund
It’s bilious and obese
Coughing like a character
By Monsieur Dumas, fils

“Liberte” is left behind
“Egalite” they shout
If everyone can’t have it
Then we all must do without

The Senator from Burlington
Is one compelling speaker
He said no healthy nation needs
18 kinds of sneaker

Considering deodorants
One is all we need
Ten kinds of deodorants
Just show a nation’s greed

It follows then (if you agree)
And by that you’re inspired
One kind of health insurance
Is all that is required

But if that roll-on makes a smell
That some of us don’t like
Or if the people making it
Decide to go on strike

Despite the power of his prose
Despite what Bernie thinks
With only one deodorant
Everybody stinks

So, if you think a stinky world
Represents a fall
Imagine what will happen then
With Medicare for all
