We’re at the top in poverty
And last in education
We tackle every problem
With our innovative nature
We emptied out the jails
To fill up the legislature
If our President is for it
Then our governor will ban it
On any given issue
He’s the first to blame the planet
If you’re driving, bring a Fiat
Cause you can’t fill us your Lexus
Our tax on gasoline
Is what a gallon costs in Texas
We invented The Resistance
We pay homage to a mouse
We’re the state that brought you typhus
And the Speaker of the House
We’re getting close to done
Please tell me where to stick the fork
Things are pretty rotten
