Once in every while when
I’m feeling so inclined
I think about the things I thought
Would never cross my mind

Monkeys typing Shakespeare
The sound of Browns’ fans cheers
Events that could not happen
Not in a million years

I close my eyes and ponder
Or find a quiet place
Ignite imagination
And let its engine race

Unleashing the unusual
I cry, “There’s some mistake!”
This world where Hugh relaxes
And Duane is wide awake

The undiscovered country is
So strangely satisfying
Syria is settled
And the Mullahs are complying

Congress is in session
And they’re getting something done
I’m batting for the Yankees
And I’m hitting a home run

The planets all are spinning
Out beyond their proper courses
And the Times tells its reporters
To go out and check their sources

Here in this noble neverland
No one spins or lies
And solid corporate earnings
Only make the market rise

And then on the horizon
I see a blinding light
A view where the Koreas
Have a chance to reunite

A man who most thought manic
And a man who none thought wise
Are moving slowly forward
Toward an unimagined prize

Then suddenly I’m back again
Reality has sway
As for that other country…
We should visit every day
