I have a vexing question
That’s perplexing me of late
Should I run for governor
Or should I leave the state?

Well, I have a lovely household
And a job that’s really cushy
I guess I could do neither
And just sit here on my tushy

Or should I just say, “Adios,
I’ll try to keep in touch.”
Abandoning a city
That has given me so much

A mortgage in the stratosphere
A pool that’s in the ground
A really ugly game of golf
That I can play year-round

Well, if I’m going to make a run
Here’s how I should begin
I’m gonna need a platform
To assure that I can win

I’ll promise to raise taxes
And increase the price of gas
Manipulate curricula
So everyone can pass

I’ll re-arrange the pyramid
And tell folks what to eat
Including lots of Brussels Sprouts
And very little meat

And if the polls insinuate
This candidate might fail
I’ll double my commitment
To expanding high-speed rail

When asked about judicial things
What changes are expected
I’ll say that I won’t answer that
Till after I’m elected

My minds made up
And I don’t care that you might disagree
That platform worked for Biden
So it ought to work for me
