The leaves are turning golden
The air is getting colder
Each morning is so wonderful
I don’t mind growing older

Fall remains my favorite time
With all that we’re afforded
McDonalds shifts their menu
And prizes are awarded

I might have been acknowledged
If I wrote more like a lib
So, I didn’t get a MacArthur
But I did get a McRib

I don’t dwell on that really
As it’s far more stimulating
To hack my neighbor’s cable
And watch Democrats debating

And though it’s hardly likely
I’ll be buying what they’re selling
At least they took some coaching
And decided to stop yelling

When asked about new taxes
What did Bernie do?
He solemnly assured us
We’d be taxed out the wazoo

Those questioning Joe Biden
Gave him all that he could handle
Acknowledging, of course
That there was not a hint of scandal

They each have got their platitudes
They’re endlessly repeating
But couldn’t come to consensus
That the Donald should stop tweeting

Klobuchar gave it a try
With lots of great one-liners
I’d rather order vichyssoise
In rundown, roadside diners

Beto’s confiscation plan
Stood out for its banality
If criminals  don’t turn in guns
He’ll scold their criminality

They pushed ambitious plans
I’m sure Deplorable deplore
And all in all I think
That it was just a great big bore

Dry paint is more exciting
The Dust Bowl sure was wetter
Every time the Dems debate
The Donald just looks better
