Wiser men than I have warned

That looks can be deceiving

While others chant the slogan

That seeing is believing

And though the things we’re seeing

Are amazingly unpleasant

The cameras recording them

Are clear and omnipresent

Each morning we wake up to view

(Assembled while we’re dreaming)

Recordings of the ruling class

On all our iPhones, streaming

And when we see our President

Wandering and gaffing

It’s just a bit concerning

That our enemies are laughing

But wait!  We’re told by those who know

Between commercial breaks

We shouldn’t pay attention

Those videos are fakes

And so the message growing

In the President’s defense is

Everything is rosy and

We shouldn’t believe our senses

They’re counting that the county’s

Overwhelmed with gullibility

And cashing in the chips of their

Remaining credibility

I’m used to seeing selling out

In tawdry Netflix drama

Or for someone who’s uniquely

Charismatic like Obama

But what I cannot understand

And what I need to know

Why are they out there on that limb

And doing this… for Joe?

Instead of asking questions

They’re casting camouflage

He must have dirt on everyone

In his Delaware garage.
