Run, Gavin. Run.

Newsom had a facelift

His dimples are now stunning

But if you ask the governor

He’ll tell you he’s not running

He’s in South Carolina

Preaching to the choir, a

Dime gets you a dollar

Next month he’ll be in Iowa

He fought the homeless crisis

And he ran it like a war

And now we have more homeless

Than we ever had before

He says we need more housing

And has himself believing

He’ll solve it with the vacancies

That come from people leaving

He talks up his accomplishments

In terms of money spent

No matter that his policies

Didn’t even make a dent

A lifelong politician

Full of guile and cunning

But as he mentions daily

He has no thought of running

He has a thirst for power

And he wields it like a king

Before too long I’m sure he’ll toss

His hair into the ring

He’ll need a staff around him

Before we start this scrimmage

A team to stroke his ego

And polish up his…image

There’s lots of campaign managers

Who should be running his

But no one seems to want the job

I wonder why that is?

Commission a poem from Joe

Tell him the story. He'll find the verse in it.
