Greater Love Hath No Man

Leading in the movement of

The trends that I’ve been tracking

Is the growing population

In which empathy is lacking

We’ve defined the human species

With a trait so beneficial

As the only living creature

Whose instincts are sacrificial

Though we’re all in competition

We call our rivals, “brother”

And the greatest love of all

Is to give life for another

But lately we’ve seen evidence

Which some have called “foreboding”

That this contact with divinity

Is suddenly eroding

To affect so many people

And remain, in fact, evasive

Whatever was the cause

Must have been, no doubt, pervasive

I’ve considered all the evidence

I have at my disposal

And despite my lack of training

This is my proposal

I’m sorry to be daring

But here’s what I suspect

The vaccines we were given

Had a nasty side-effect

But lest you call me crazy

And my theorems satanic

It’s not the substance of the vaccinations

Rather, it’s the panic

In a famine, it’s the freezer

In the desert it’s the thirst

And in a sinking vessel

Gotta grab those lifeboats first

Late night entertainers

I hesitate to bait them
Said other folks are killing you

So it’s ok to hate them

We introduced a toxin

To the body-politic

Could epidemic selfishness

Be making people sick?
