Since caveman’s entertainment
Most bankable commodities
Are peeks at the unusual
Assorted, sordid oddities
The giant and the pygmy
Will get us all a ’gawking
About these jests of nature
It’s clear we can’t stop talking
Some might be proven hoaxes
By any, canny scholar
And yet, for just a visit
Barnum made a dollar
So if you want a fortune
From those who seek a thrill
Perhaps a new museum
With these attractions, fill
A father and a mother
With two point seven kids
A rare and fine example
I’m putting up for bids
To stock my exhibition
I’m sparing no expense
Come down and see the lush green lawn!
Gape at the picket fence!
A quest for special species
Has been my single mission
Behold the radio producer
And the honest politician
I’ve filled it with examples
That barely missed destruction
An increase in your wages
Or a premium reduction
The West Wing of the building
Is empty now, alas
There’s not a single artifact
Left from the middle class.
