So I looked for some employment
Just to keep a fella busy
I sent around my resume
To show folks I’m a smarty
And got picked to write the platform
For the Democratic Party
The put me in a room and told me
Joey, take your time
It was really very easy
Cause it didn’t have to rhyme
There’ll be Medicare for Everyone
But don’t you sweat the price
We’ll reallocate the money
That we won’t be paying ICE
Borders are old fashioned
As everyone acknowledges
And everyone who crosses
Can enroll in the free colleges
We’ll make hurricanes illegal
Cyclones too, we’re not selective
Just the way we outlaw guns
And equally effective
There is no right to carry
Either open or concealed
And the college of electors
Will be shuttered and repealed
We’ll be adding to the SCOTUS
And we’ll do it with all speed
We don’t have to set a number
Just as many as we need
And anyone who joins us
Can always have their say
But no internet for you
If you think another way
This job was quite a challenge
And it kept me up at nights
But we’re gonna save the planet
When we take away your rights
