Facts, it’s said, are stubborn things
We simply have to face them
Except, of course, by happenstance
When other facts replace them

But when I view the current crop
The fact of which I’m certain
Is, in the Democratic camp,
No one’s behind the curtain

If all you talking heads agree
Don’t speak, just simply nod ‘em
The next to claim the White House
Is quite clearly Mrs. Rodham

She skirts the scandals that might make
A candidate a goner
By wearing every failure
As if it’s a badge of honor

Now when she left the White House
Well, she wasn’t worth a peso
Her e-mails are no issue
And we have that on her say so

The re-set with the Russians
Worked the way she knew it would
And the Clinton Cosa Nostra
Is a global force for good

The lady’s clearly held by all
In awe and warm affection
So I propose anointing
And we skip the next election

We simply should accept her
As the gift that fortune gave us
And vote by acclamation
Oh, just think what that would save us

Her kind of skill and insight
Can’t be had at any price
And I heard that someone wrote her
A whole book of sage advice

The GOP will face these facts
Quite soon as I suspect
Within a week or two
She’ll be the President-elect

This plan that I propose
Will soon be hailed both far and wide
Provided that by June
Barack Obama steps aside.
